Nautilus Welfare Fund
In 2010 the Nautilus Welfare Fund was awarded a grant of £30,000 from the Seamen’s Hospital Society for Mariners Park - a retirement complex for former seafarers and their dependants. It includes a domiciliary care scheme that offers practical support to help elderly residents continue to live in their own homes.


The Fishermen’s Mission (Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen)
In 2010 the Seamen’s Hospital Society gave the Mission £7,500 for its work with sick and injured fishermen.


The Physical Initiative – Seafarers’ Fitness Guide
In 2009 and 2010 the Society granted a total of £7,500 to The Physical Initiative to fund the publication of a new fitness guide for serving merchant seafarers.
